When it breaks
The product looks different in every shot of my ad

What is actually happening
Each clip is generated independently. Continuity is something you impose between generations, not something the generator maintains.
Why
- Video generation is documented at the level of 'a clip from a prompt or a still'. benchr's own capability record for it is marked partial precisely because the vendor page names the models and the capability but publishes no length, resolution or consistency guarantee.
- Clips are short. A finished piece is dozens of them, and every cut is a fresh chance for the subject to change.
- Feature productions solve this with volume and selection, not with a setting: the Hell Grind crew ran 15-second clips repeatedly and a human chose the takes.
The quick fix
Generate from a still of the actual product rather than from a description of it, for every single shot.
The real fix
Lock one reference frame per subject, generate every shot from that frame, and budget for selection. Plan a shot list where the product is only fully visible in the shots you can afford to re-run.
Step by step
- Photograph or fix the product once, and treat that image as the only description of it.
- Use image-to-video rather than text-to-video wherever the subject must stay the same.
- Write the shot, not the vibe: camera, lens, movement, and what must not change.
- Expect to discard most takes. Selection is the work.
- Hide the hardest continuity in motion or in a cut — the same trick a live-action editor uses.
